DENVER, Colo. — The Colorado Cattlemen’s Agricultural Land Trust (CCALT) is pleased to announce a multi-year sponsorship by Chevron’s Rockies Business Unit. As a leading land conservation organization in Colorado, this sponsorship will help increase the capacity for land conservation throughout the state.

“Chevron’s sponsorship brings tremendous opportunity to fulfill landowner demand for conservation efforts,” said Erik Glenn, executive director of Colorado Cattlemen’s Agricultural Land Trust. “This collaboration symbolizes a shared commitment to conservation of working landscapes across Colorado and the benefits these landscapes play in our state’s future.”

“As the largest oil and natural gas producer in Colorado, with more than 1,000 employees who live and work in the state, we strive to be a neighbor of choice,” said Kim McHugh, vice president for Chevron’s Rockies Business Unit. “As part of our commitment to conservation, wildlife, and sustainable energy development, we are pleased to enter into this relationship with Colorado Cattlemen’s Agricultural Land Trust to help ensure smart land conservation throughout Colorado for years to come.”

This latest sponsorship demonstrates Chevron’s ongoing commitment to conservation and wildlife habitat. Conservation will help ensure wildlife habitat exists for native animals, including mule deer, pronghorn antelope, migratory birds, and many others into the future.

CCALT is one of Colorado’s largest and most successful conservation organizations. CCALT is actively working on more than 25 conservation projects across Colorado. This muti-year sponsorship will further advance voluntary conservation efforts in Northeast Colorado an area of the state that is facing significant development pressure. This part of the state is also home to some of Colorado’s most productive range and important wildlife habitat.
