LAKEWOOD, Colo. – The Colorado Cattlemen’s Agricultural Land Trust (CCALT) is welcoming to its staff an accomplished attorney with nearly a decade of transactional experience in real estate, land use and corporate law for firms and clients based principally in Colorado.

Alison (Ali) Lipman will begin her duties as CCALT’s Director of Transactions July 14, working from the organization’s headquarters in Lakewood.

In her role with CCALT, Lipman will lead the organization’s Transactions Program (operating within the Conservation Department), guiding projects from initial contact with landowners through to the successful closing of conservation easements.  She will lead legal negotiations, ensure due diligence and compliance, and work closely with partners, funders and other CCALT departments to secure and complete complex land conservation deals. Lipman will also play a key role in shaping CCALT’s conservation strategy, supporting stewardship efforts and helping expand the organization’s impact across Colorado.

Lipman joins CCALT after having served as an associate attorney for the law firm of PackardDierking in Boulder, Colo., from 2021-24.  Prior to her tenure at PackardDierking, Lipman worked as an associate attorney for the law firm of Johnson & Repucci LLP in Louisville and Boulder for four years (2017-21).  She began her legal career in 2014 as an associate attorney at Elevation Law Group, P.C. in Steamboat Springs, Colo (2014-17).

During her legal career, Lipman represented clients that include property owners, developers, homeowners associations and commercial entities in real estate matters, corporate transactions and land use applications.  She prepared, negotiated and reviewed contracts and transactional documents, including letters of intent, real estate purchase and sale agreements, easements (including conservation easements), leases, licenses, covenants and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.  She also performed due diligence for real estate acquisitions, including survey, title and environmental reviews.

“Ali brings a wealth of legal experience that will be instrumental in supporting Colorado’s landowners and the natural resources they steward,” said Brendan Boepple, CCALT’s Director of Conservation.  “Her background in navigating complex real estate and land use transactions will be invaluable as we continue to conserve Colorado’s working lands.  We are thrilled to welcome her to the team and look forward to the leadership she will bring to our conservation efforts.”

“I’m incredibly excited to join CCALT and use my transactional experience to help advance land conservation efforts in Colorado,” said Lipman.  “I look forward to working with landowners on their conservation easements to ensure that Colorado’s beautiful working lands and natural resources are preserved for future generations.”

Lipman is a graduate of the University of Colorado Law School (2014), where her coursework focused on natural resources law.  In law school, she interned with the Colorado Water Trust during the summer of 2013.  She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Political Studies from Pitzer College in Claremont, Calif., in 2009.
